Three footballers of Brazilian club Flamengo have contracted coronavirus. However, none of them showed any symptoms. The Copa Libertadores champion is the Brazilian club Flamengo.

The Rio de Janeiro club said in a statement on Wednesday that players and their families had been tested for the corona virus. Of these, a total of 293 people, including people working at home, were tested for Covid-19.

After testing for the corona virus, many were found to be positive. However, the club authorities did not reveal their identities. Of the 293 people tested, 38 were corona positive.

A total of three of the 38 footballers have been infected with the corona virus, club authorities have confirmed. The remaining 35 footballers could be family members and club staff.However, a worker who had worked for the club for 40 years died of coronavirus last Monday.

More than 8,500 people have died of covid-19 disease in Brazil so far. Surprisingly, Brazil’s President Zaire Bolsonaro spoke of a resumption of football amid the epidemic.
